3 “TED-style” talks chosen by members

Sunday May 20th. 7 for 7.30pm

Daniel Hall, Long Garden Walk, Farnham, GU9 7HX

There will three short “TED*-style” talks/discussions presented by members of Farnham Humanists Group. Each will be up to 20 minutes, e.g. 15 minutes talk, 5 minutes questions or discussion. Members have been invited to propose a possible talk which may, or may not be on a Humanist topic, but should be something they think will interest other members. Farnham Humanists will organize an email poll of all our members to select the top 3 topics. The talk presenters will be anonymous for the purpose of the ballot.

Closing date for submissions is 15th April 2018. The poll will be in the week 16th to 22nd April, leaving the winners with 4 weeks to prepare their talks. This webpage will display information about the 3 winning topics.

*TED is a non-profit organization devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.

Everyone is welcome!!

Come and join in the discussions.

Tea, coffee and biscuits. Other drinks available from the Hop Blossom Pub close by. Admission donation £2 to help cover costs.
