More about our Speakers for the event:

Dr Graham Winyard is co-chair of the Clinical Advisory Group of ‘My Death, My Decision’, a grassroots movement that campaigns for assisted dying reform. Dr Winyard was formerly the government’s Chief Medical Officer of England & Wales.

Kevin Yuill is the interim Director of ‘Humanists Against Assisted Suicide and Euthanasia’, a group of individuals from various walks of life united by our lack of religious beliefs and our suspicion about the wisdom of legalising assisted suicide and/or euthanasia.

Dr Amy Proffitt represents ‘Care Not Killing’, a UK-based alliance of individuals and organisations with the aims of promoting more and better palliative care, and, by influencing public opinion, ensuring that existing laws against euthanasia and assisted suicide are not weakened or repealed.

Marie-louise Papworth speaks for the ‘Campaign for Dignity in Dying’, who believe assisted dying for terminally ill, mentally competent adults should be legal in the UK so that dying people have support to take the final act that brings about their peaceful death.
