Teddy Prout is a classically trained musician and Director of Learning and Engagement for the Philharmonia Orchestra, recently seen at The Proms 2025. He continues to compose and perform music.

Teddy will discuss the concepts of music, how it works and how humans use it to create meaning in their lives. His talk and music performance will explore the common themes in music from a variety of cultures and whether there is such a thing as ‘humanist music’.
