Odiham and Greywell

Sunday 13th August 2023 – Start at 2pm

These two beautiful Hampshire villages have a long history with many interesting buildings and stories to tell.

Walk Description: A gentle 5 mile walk from the canal wharf at Odiham through the historic village of Odiham, then across countryside to the village of Greywell.

The return journey will be from the start (or end) of the Basingstoke Canal at the Greywell Tunnel, past Odiham Castle, following the tow path to our start point. It is intended we finish with drinks at the Waterwitch pub, near to Odiham wharf, though other stops can be added!

Start time and duration : 2pm, the walk is expected to take between 2.5 and 3 hours

Start Location: Odiham Wharf Car Park: Post Code GU29 1AL. This is at the end of Colt Hill, Odiham. Drive past the Waterwitch pub, over the canal and the road leads you around to the car park.

General notes: Good walking shoes required, bring a drink/refreshments for on the walk. Clothing will be dependent on the weather.
