THE PSYCHOLOGY OF THE PANDEMIC, GLOBALISATION AND TECHNOLOGY

Sunday April 16th, 7.15pm for 7:30pm

Daniel Hall, Long Garden Walk, Farnham, GU9 7HX.

Speaker : Lindsey Harris

Female Allegory by Angelica Kauffmann (1741 – 1807)
“Doubt wisely, ……. keep the truth which thou hast found….”
(John Donne, from Satire III)

The evening will begin with a short presentation, reviewing the events of the past few years, from a psychoanalytic perspective. The questions are:  what happened to our society during the pandemic; what is hidden in the cultural unconscious that lies beneath the surface of the collective; and what various emotions, feelings and attitudes we, as individuals, have about these events in retrospect.

The talk will be followed by small group discussions, in which you will have an opportunity to discuss together how you feel about some of the issues raised in the talk.

Lindsey Harris is a Jungian analyst and psychotherapist in private practice, a professional member and training analyst in the Association of Jungian Analysts, and registered with UK Council for Psychotherapy and the International Association for Analytical Psychology.

Do come and join in the discussions.
