Dragonfly walk

Sunday 18 August 2019 at 11am

The Moat Car Park, Thursley Road, Elstead GU8 6LW

Join David Hepper, local resident and Records Officer for the British Dragonfly Society for an informal walk around Thursley Common, a national nature reserve (NNR) and dragonfly hotspot.

See and learn about these flying jewels, their lives and their 300 million year history.

We’ll be keeping to the main tracks and board walks on this NNR. The first half, on the boardwalks, is wheelchair-friendly. The second half is more sandy, but you could retrace the first half if necessary.

Walking boots are recommended but not essential. Please bring water and suncream, and your own lunch if you wish to join in a picnic afterwards. Please note there is no shop or toilets on site.

Everyone is welcome!
It’s free, just turn up.

If you would like to know more, or ask about possible help with transport, then please email info@farnham.humanist.org.uk
