The Remembrance Sunday parade will start in Castle Street at the site of the world’s first two-minute silence which was held in May 2016.
The parade will reach the War Memorial in Gostrey Meadow at 10.45 am for a short ceremony. Following the two minutes silence at 11:00 and wreath laying, the Parade returns through the town including a March Past the Civic party assembled outside the Town Council Offices in South Street.
Our chair, Alan Montgomery, will be laying the Farnham Humanists’ wreath this year accompanied by a serving member of the Armed Forces, Major Neil Weddle, from Defence Humanists.
